Newsflash: Milestones and Memories

This is a newsflash cause I gotta make it quick! Lily has become kinda high-maintenance lately, so I don't have much time for anything! Here is some of our recent news:
  • Lily is rolling over and sitting up mostly by herself
  • She has one tooth! It is just coming in, but it is very sharp (watch out mommy!).
  • Lily began eating solids this week. She is not a big fan of rice cereal, but she LOVES applesauce. She keeps grabbing the spoon and shoving it in her mouth and then grinning as she "chews".
  • Lily has learned how to turn light switches on and off by herself (if I hold her in front of the switch). She thinks it is the most hilarious game ever.
Also, my mom & grandma came to visit for mother's day weekend and we took a 4-generation girls-only trip up to Victoria, British Columbia to visit Butchart Gardens. It was very fun, beautiful, memorable, and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Here are some pictures from their visit.

Lily wanted to look at and touch all the flowers. Unfortunately she also wanted to rip the petals off and cram them in her mouth, so we had to limit the amount of tactile experience.

Lily enjoys looking at mirrors at least as much as flowers.

Lily enjoyed petting a dog we met on the ferry ride back from Victoria.
